~Kahlil Gibran
today i am feeling quiet and introspective, stoking the fires of inspiration, preparing for the journey of motherhood once more (and with that, the realization with bitter sweetness, that this pregnancy is coming to its fruition soon - and it will be our last - there is a little letting go to that - along with the building anticipation to the birth).
tonight it is quiet as i type...in the distance i hear the sounds of summer evenings from the neighborhood - the music from the clubs down the street, the whine of a lonely dog left at home, the casual conversations of those passing by, and the gentle swirl of the winds we're so lucky to have pass through here taking with them a couple degrees of the summer heat. the evening seems to resonate the quietness i am feeling - leaving me to feel quite connected.
